Today, we’re excited to spotlight Clearway Environmental, a Hull-based company making a significant impact in sustainable waste management. Clearway has shown a strong commitment to reducing their carbon footprint by responsibly managing fat, oil, and grease (FOG) waste with us.
Here’s the impact Clearway achieved in October
- By managing FOG waste sustainably, Clearway prevented nearly 5,500 kg of CO2 from entering the atmosphere. That’s equivalent to planting 90 new trees and letting them grow for 10 years, or avoiding the emissions of nearly 14,000 miles in an average petrol-fuelled car on Hull’s roads.
- Clearway went beyond simple disposal by converting over two tonnes of FOG waste into biodiesel feedstock. This biodiesel produces up to 87% less carbon than traditional fossil fuels, supporting the global push for cleaner energy alternatives.
